From the AEU
With State and Federal MPs visiting our schools, this is a great chance for them to see firsthand what schools are putting in place with the additional funding they have received and to understand importance of funding the Gonski in full. Gonski campaigners will also be speaking to parents as they drop off/collect their children from school and asking them to sign up to the campaign. Handing out material at train stations is also planned, to engage with the broader community.
The AEU wants every school to get involved in Gonski Week by holding a morning tea, attaching information to their newsletter (which we will do) and to make direct contact with our local State Government MP by phone, email or via social media to emphasise the need for full Gonski funding (done that)
