Annual Report

I popped up to school this morning and completed our school's annual report for 2014 which I can present to School Council at our next meeting. I will also post it on our school website this week.
It is a lot easier to write these now a days compared to the old cut and paste days. I spent the most time trying to choose photos for our more personalised report to community. ( I take a lot of photos)
I also gave blood at the Red Cross today.
Below is a photo of some of the marbling the grade 5 girls were doing on Friday afternoon

Youth Unemployment
Youth Unemployment is now at nearly 15% ( In Regional areas higher, in Ballarat it is 20%)
Employment Minister Jacinta Allan said she was deeply concerned about the youth jobs crisis, which she said was created by the former Liberal government, with cuts to the TAFE system and poor investment in education.( Refer to the graphic below)

This link takes you to a story in the Age about Pavilion State school which provides a flexible learning environment for young people enabling them to complete high school education giving them a better chance at finding employment.
