Private school fee increases on the rise

If you are sending your child to a private school, chances are you are under considerable pressure to meet school fees. You may have cut down on expensive meals, opted for a cheaper car, or even sold your house. And it does not get easier, with fees increasing twice the rate of inflation for at least a decade. Here is a graph showing the upward trend.

You can see that fees across all sectors have been climbing steadily since 2009. On average, fees at independent schools have risen by 4 per cent each year, Catholic school fees by 6 per cent and government schools ( which
are not compulsory) by 3 per cent.It should be noted that the fees are just to get you through the door.!
Glen Park does not charge fees.
