That’s right folks. The NSW Govt has budgeted $53M this year towards sacking more TAFE teachers. That’s YOUR money being used to dismantle YOUR public TAFE system. That money should be spent on student support.
NOTE: 53,000,000 put aside for further redundancy payouts, that equal to roughly 750 more jobs on top of the more that 5600 already cut. Dismantling TAFE is one of the most short term short sighted actions ever. There has to be an alternative to University. Trades and service roles don't learn the technical aspects of the role on the job. It closes so many doors it's just stupid.
