Ballarat Show Day holiday

We have today off for the Ballarat Show/Cup which gives us a long weekend....well in theory anyway. I went up to school for 4 hours or so to get some admin completed this morning so that I can have the weekend off. ( They were moving some sheep around this morning- photo below) As I was off home I spotted some kangaroos in a paddock at the bottom of the hill from the school. The photos aren't the best but I've posted them below. Next week we'll be finishing off work for Under the Mountain and I'll read War of the Worlds. I'll be preparing some learning and craft activities for the classic book over the next few days. I'll also post my Wizard of Oz and Day of the Triffids units this week.
