Coraline mist picture

When Coraline ventures away from the Other Mother's house she finds the world that she is in enveloped in a mist and that the scenery blends into a blur. I made a sample picture of this scene from the story this afternoon.

First I painted the background. 

I cut and pasted some distorted trees.

I sketched a detailed realistic tree in the foreground and painted it.

I added a confused Coraline in the foreground

I tore some strips of tissue paper ( blue and black) and pasted that across the picture. I then trimmed up the picture and laminated it.

When we do this I'll post our display when they're finished. probably next week.
